I did the follow, and it did work. I dragged the mentioned photo out of iPhoto and onto my desktop. Using Preview, I resaved the photo as a .jpg (even though it already was a .jpg). Then I dragged the new photo into iPhoto and deleted the original. It syncs without a problem. I should mention that deleting the photo cache, as apple recommends, did not work.

Your best bet to add photos to your iPhone is CopyTrans Photo

http://www.copytrans.net/copytransphoto.php

It lets you transfer them individually to the iPhone albums you want and you can visually see them with thumbnails.

I still have no luck with putting certain images onto the iPhone. I’m wondering if there is just certain image/color data that causes some images to be unacceptable?!?!
