I finally updated my machine to Windows 7 and for the most part, everything has been seemless and has worked great. Even though I’m not one of the many people who had problems with Windows Vista, I still decided to upgrade to Windows 7. Partially due to all of the hype about Windows 7, and partially to satisfy my urge to have the newest and latest software. ;-)

Anyways, all of my programs work great, but the other day when I logged into Quickbooks to do some accounting, I got an error message when I tried to print some invoices to PDF.

Printer not activated, error code -20.

After doing some research, I found that I needed to “Repair” my Quickbooks installation, so I started to do that. In that process, I got another error:

Error 1334. The file ‘Ilxact3res.dll’ cannot be installed.

Insert the QuickBooks CS and retry or note the error and type this in a web browser:
www.quickbooks.com/support/update.html

I’ll be posting more, but in the meantime, I’m going to try to completely remove my Quickbooks installation and try to reinstall a new one.

I am having the same exact problem. Tried to call Quickbooks for help and was told that I have to join a support program for $40 a month!

Did the reinstallation fix the problem??

    Thank you!
